I’ve always believed that a bike is more than just metal and rubber. It’s a freedom machine!

My interest in mechanics and technology began with a chrome Huffy BMX. It wasn't just a bike to me; it was the first piece of hardware I ever took apart to understand how it worked.

That fundamental curiosity in identifying the "how" and "why" behind mechanical systems, eventually evolved into a 20-year career in technology, as a cell phone engineer to Software Product Strategist for startups and global organizations.

From SoCal to Summerport

Before I was the "Summerport Bike Guy," I spent two decades building technology and worked with global teams to launch the mobile devices and software that stay in your pocket today.

In that world, "good enough" doesn't exist. You solve the hard problems, you find the hidden bugs, and you ensure everything runs with 100% reliability.

So, why bikes? Because I realized that whether it’s a line of code or a derailleur alignment, the joy is in the precision.

I don't just "tinker" under a tree. I bring a high-level technical "stack" to every repair. While I’m your friendly neighbor, I’m also a technician who treats a bicycle like the high-performance machine it is.

When I’m not in the stand, you’ll usually find me cruising Horizon West on my Cannondale CAAD9 or bringing a vintage Mongoose back to life. I do this because I love the community and I love the machines.

I’m not just fixing bikes; I’m making sure my neighbors have the same reliable "freedom machines" I fell in love with years ago.
